Share your professional expertise through our mentorship program. Alumni mentors at all levels of experience are welcome. After an initial session, coordinated by Alumni Engagement, you can continue mentoring relationships independently. These 45- to 60-minute sessions cover:

• Career advice and industry insights
• Résumé and portfolio reviews
• Interview preparation
• Discussion of professional networking strategies
• Guidance for life after graduation

New School Network Alumni Groups

The New School Network hosts virtual Alumni Community Groups designed to foster pride and a sense of belonging among graduates. These groups offer opportunities to:

• Plan alumni events and programming
• Organize volunteer initiatives
• Support philanthropic projects
• Build connections across schools and geographical locations

Alumni Leadership Committee Positions

We seek passionate alumni leaders to shape programming for Alumni Community Groups. Leadership volunteers plan meetups, coordinate volunteer projects, and build community pride among fellow graduates.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Plan two to three annual events or initiatives
• Meet with committee members one to three times per year
• Manage communications through the New School Network and social media
• Attend community events and represent the group

Annual Fund for Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice

The New School has just announced a new Annual Fund designation to support the work of our Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice (EISJ). Gifts to this fund are used to support civic leadership training, launch new public programs and conferences, hold community volunteer and service days, provide resources for heritage month celebrations and events, and create new financial aid and scholarship opportunities—all to help ensure equitable access to the university.
