Like many within the higher education community, we are disheartened by the sudden and unexpected decision to close University of the Arts (UArts). We strongly believe in the importance of art education and want to support all new and continuing UArts students affected by this decision.
We offer many comparable undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Parsons School of Design, Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, the College of Performing Arts, and the Bachelor’s Program for Adults and Transfer Students.
The New School has developed a teach-out agreement with University of the Arts, and we're committing to the following for UArts students:
- We will waive all application fees and recommendation requirements.
- Admitted first-year and transfer students will have their UArts institutional financial aid award matched by The New School for the duration of their degree program. Review our financial aid guarantee for all New School students.
- We will waive the enrollment deposit for admitted students who decide to confirm their enrollment.
- We will accept all earned credits for the degrees specified in our teach-out agreement (including transfer credit from other institutions); if you are interested in another degree option, we will work with you to support the completion of your degree as generously as possible.
